Common Misconception

Problem of maintaining hardness is very common and affects over 150 million around the world.1
It is not only an outcome of psychological factors or aging but can be due to physical issues such as a disease, injury, or side effects of other medication as well. 2,3

Below are some common myths:

  • Can Smoking lead to problem of maintaining hardness?

Smoking can affect blood circulation. The problem happens when there is insufficient blood flow to the penis. 2

  • Will frequent intimate activities affect hardness?

No! Frequent intimacy has nothing to do with hardness.4

  • Is it important?

Yes of course! Most partners consider hardness as an important element for quality intimacy. Studies have also shown that hardness is associated with intimacy satisfaction5

  • Will drinking cause problem of maintaining hardness?

Research indicates that drinking in general does not lead to this problem. However, excessive drinking can affect the ability to maintain hardness.6

  • Can eating certain food prevent this problem?

Herbs or health supplement have not been well-studied or tested in preventing the problem of maintaining hardness. However, some studies suggest that consumption of fish, vegetables, fruits and red wine may be helpful.7,8

Levels 1 to 3 are considered insufficient hardness.

What can cause the problem of maintaining hardness?

Conditions that affect blood circulation and other lifestyle factors, such as excessive drinking, fatigue, smoking, may contribute to this problem.1 Additionally, general stress, psychological factors and incidence of chronic disease are all linked to the occurrence of such problem.2
